2019 Top Five Jolts

16 Dec, 2018

Farmington strives to make strong favorable impressions created by unexpected surprises, which we affectionately call jolts.  We invite you to discover our community, where outdoor lovers and active families thrive. As you explore our outdoor, cultural and family adventures make time to experience our Top Five Jolts for 2019 - these experiences come highly recommended!

2019 Top Five Jolts

GET DUSTY
Family friendly adrenaline can be hard to find - not in Farmington!  FOUR CORNERS EXPLORERS offers side by side UTV rentals that can seat up to four daredevils (with seatbelts).  Now imagine you and your crew pursuing steep hillsides and taking on rugged trails and sandy washes as you explore the award winning Chokecherry Canyon Glade Run Recreation Area. They also offer unique experiences with their Dark Skies Tours, May - September 2019.

GET CULTURED
Behold the traditions of the Navajo culture that are so fundamental to the history of Farmington when you visit the inspiring new MUSEUM OF NAVAJO ART AND CULTURE. Nestled in Historic Downtown Farmington, this museum features an exceptional collection of authentic Navajo blankets and rugs. A series of art and cultural classes will also be offered in 2019.

GET ARTSY
Take a look at STUDIO 116, a fine art studio located in Historic Downtown Farmington, featuring paintings, photography and silver jewelry masterpieces.  Not to mention a one of a kind pocket park behind the studio, with massively inspiring art installations sure to leave you feeling transcended.

GET HOPPY
Savor the taste of Farmington! Try the THREE RIVERS BREWERY beer “Thrivers”.  This Amber Lager captures the promise that this is a community where outdoor lovers thrive.  It’s the perfect brew for quenching your thirst after a day of fishing, hiking, biking or off roading!

GET SOAKED
Opening summer 2019!  The BISTI BAY AT BROOKSIDE PARK is the best place to make a splash.  The water park theme is inspired by iconic area landscapes, setting the stage for lasting summer memories.  Zip down the water slides, relax in the lazy river or soak up some rays with friends. Opening of the waterpark is expected to be mid to late June. Until it is opened, we encourage you to splash around at The Beach at Lake Farmington, a favorite family friendly summer stop!
