We have a fantastic assortment of events to showcase as Jolt Worthy for the month of February.  For specific details on each event click on the title link to be directed to the complete event listing.  For a look at other fun Farmington events taking place this month visit the community calendar.

  1. Shipwreck
    Grab your matey and stop by the Farmington Museum & Visitor Center to walk the plank into Shipwreck! Pirates and Treasure. This hands on, interactive traveling exhibit includes a robotic arm to pick up treasure, 500 priceless artifacts from recovered famous shipwrecks and more! Don't delay, the exhibit will close February 17, 2018. Admission is $7 adults, $4 children. Open Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am – 7:00pm.
     
  2. Curators Choice Lecture Series
    The American West in Fact or Fiction : The West is a romanticized notion that has come to symbolize the American experience around the world. Join the Farmington Museum Saturday, February 3rd from 3:00 to 4:30pm, for a lecture series on Pancho Villa and the Mexican Revolution and discover why the West has played such a pivotal role in world history and how it continues to permeate all aspects of American life, at home and abroad.   3. Pour & Explore Olde World Wines
    The Farmington Museum Foundation will host this special event on Friday, February 9th at 6pm.  Enjoy an elegant evening of wine and tapas to help support the Farmington Museum. There will be live classical music by the Tres Rios Quartet, a silent auction and a wine pull. Every participant will also go home with a complimentary wine glass!   4. No Limits Monster Trucks
    The No Limits Monster Trucks are coming to Farmington for two big shows in one day, Saturday, February 10th at 2pm and 7:30pm. Don't miss this chance to see Ghost Ryder, with Monster Truck Grand National Champion Larry Quick driving and Robo Dragon - the 30 foot fire breathing robotic dragon!!!! Show held at McGee Park, tickets range from $7 to $22. Information: 505-324-5561
     
  5. A Fair of the Heart and Goosebump Race
    Join San Juan Regional Heart Center in a celebration of National Heart Month and take part in the Goosebump Race and A Fair of the Heart Health Fair on Saturday, February 17th, 9:00am to 1:00pm. Participate in the 5K or one mile Goosebump Race and then stop by the A Fair of the Heart Health Fair for family friendly activities, health screenings/tests and CPR training.  Event held at the San Juan Regional Heart Center and is FREE.   6. Prohibition Has Hit Farmington
    The Farmington Chamber of Commerce will host this special themed event on Saturday, February 17th from 7:00pm - 11:00pm. Prohibition has hit Farmington and there is a celebration at the Lumberyard. You must purchase tickets for more information and clues to the location. Cost is 50 clams!   7. CyberCon
    San Juan College will host their third annual CyberCon Conference February 21 – 22, 2018. This event, held at San Juan College, brings experts in cybersecurity to the local community for a conference on an extremely important topic. Information: 505-566-3804

Each month, the FBA (Farmington Branding Alliance) meets for the Farmington Action Team Meeting and votes on the top upcoming events from the community calendar at FarmingtonNM.org.  The FBA consists of local residents, organizations and businesses working together to energize how we live, work, play and stay Farmington. As a group, they have chosen to highlight events that go above and beyond to energize life journeys through exceptional performances and unique opportunities. Event organizers interested in endorsement need only submit their event to the calendar.
