The Farmington Museum welcomes the return of the Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners. For sixteen years, this group has been dedicated to creating art outdoors, a practice called plein air, which allows for direct observation in capturing light, shadow, and color.

Join Donna Thatcher, Education Specialist, and other birders for bird watching from 8:00 to 10:00am at the Riverside Nature Center in Animas Park off Browning Parkway, and a leisurely walk of 1 to 2 miles in Animas and Berg Parks every Tuesday. This is a free event.

Aztec Ruins National Monument and Chaco Culture National Historical Park will host programs in honor of the winter solstice. Both events will allow visitors to view sunrise and sunset alignments at Ancestral Puebloan Great Houses. Aztec's event will take place December 20 and 21 and Chaco's on December 21.
