The Farmington Museum welcomes the return of the Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners. For sixteen years, this group has been dedicated to creating art outdoors, a practice called plein air, which allows for direct observation in capturing light, shadow, and color.

The Henderson Fine Arts Center Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Printed Pattern Etching and Cutting on Metal

Have you ever needed custom metal pieces in your jewelry or art, but don’t want to buy the same patterns everyone else uses? This class will use E3 electrical etching with printed patterns. Once they have each etched 2 metal sheets and used patinas, students will learn to use Swanstrom Cutter sets to create consistent shapes. Holes can be punched for jump rings, beads can be added… possibilities are endless!
