The Fourth of July is celebrated with a variety of special events between June 28th and July 4th, 2018. Events include a fireworks display, night parade, Party in the Park, skateboarding competition, summer theater, gem and mineral show and more! Featured on the Jolt Your Summer Challenge.

Thursday, June 28

8pm Outdoor Summer Theater 
“Mary Poppins, the Broadway Musical” at Lions Wilderness Park.  Brought to you by Sandstone Productions.

Friday, June 29

10am - 6pm Gem & Mineral Show
McGee Park Indoor Riding Arena.  Sponsored by the San Juan County Gem and Mineral Society.
This event is featured on the Jolt Your Summer Challenge.

11am – 1pm TGIF Music & Lunch with Ben Gibson Duo
Orchard Park organized by City of Farmington’s PRCA - sponsor

Tuesday, July 3

5 - 8pm Hoops and Hotcakes
Please note - the 3v3 Basketball Tournament was canceled on July 2nd. The July 4th Pancake Breakfast at the Boys and Girls Club of Farmington is still happening. 

9:25pm Fireworks Display
This beautiful 20 minute choreagraphed display is done from Sullivan Hill. Sponsored by Citizens Bank, Northern Edge Casino, Kysar Millennium Leavitt Insurance, Dugan Production and simulcast on KWYK 94.9fm.

Wednesday, July 4

7am Hoops and Hotcakes
All you can eat Pancake Breakfast at the Boys and Girls Club of Farmington. Fee is $5 per person from 7-9am. Event sponsored by Allen Theaters, Webb Chevrolet Toyota, Farmington Rotary and Boys and Girls Club of Farmington. As of July 2, 3v3 basketball tournament canceled.  3v3 Registration Form (PDF)

11am - 5:30pm Party in the Park
Brookside Park -Food, entertainment, fun vendors, live music by Company and Breezin’, games, prizes & activities for the entire family! Sponsored by Farmington Heating & Metal, Foster Plumbing & Heating and KWYK 94.9fm. This event is featured on the Jolt Your Summer Challenge

  • 12pm - Skateboard Competition (registration begins at 11am) - Individual runs in age categories:  10 & under, 11 – 14, 15 & up. Sponsor: Sycamore Park Community Center.
  • 2pm - Water Balloon Dodgeball.  Sponsored by Four Corners Explorers.
  • 3pm - Papa John's Pizza Eating Contest (tickets sold for a chance to participate from 11am - 2pm).  Money donated to a charity.

3pm A Musical Tribute to America
First Presbyterian Church, 865 N Dustin. $10/person, children 17 and younger are free.  This patriotic concert and ice cream social benefits the VFW Post 2182. Sponsored by Showcase on Dustin.

9pm Farmington Rotary Electric Light Parade
Downtown Main Street, organized by the Farmington Rotary Club.  Sponsored by The Bridge Assisted Living. (Print Parade Entry Form)
