Indigenous Cultural Arts Festival at Aztec Ruins National Monument
Join us on Saturday, September 13, 2025, as Aztec Ruins National Monument hosts the Indigenous Cultural Arts Festival, beginning at 10am This free, family-friendly event celebrates the vibrant traditions and creativity of artists from across the Southwest.
Visitors can watch live demonstrations, meet talented artists, and purchase one-of-a-kind works of art ranging from pottery and jewelry to basketry and more. Both contemporary and traditional styles will be showcased.
Throughout the day, enjoy captivating performances, including:
- MaaTuu Dance Group of Santa Clara Pueblo
- Champion Hoop Dancer JaiP’o Harvier of the Pueblo of Pojoaque
- The Next Generation Dancers of Acoma Pueblo
The festival also features a cooking demonstration by Diné cookbook author Alana Yazzie and an engaging storytelling presentation by Eldrena Douma of the Hopi Tribe and Laguna Pueblo.
In addition, the visitor center and trail through the Aztec West great house will be open for exploration—making this a perfect opportunity to experience both art and history in one unforgettable day.
