Meet at the Riverside Nature Center at 8:00am. The walks will be at a leisurely pace. Trips will be 2.5 and 3.0 miles on level dirt trails. The aim is to discover which of the 31 migratory birds, who headed north last spring, will follow the same route, heading south in the fall. They also look for the 24 residents discovered last spring, with the hope of finding a few more.
Dress for the weather and bring binoculars, snacks and water. Sunscreen and bug repellant is always a good idea. For added enjoyment, download the free App Merlin onto your phone.
18+. No dogs, please. Limit of ten people for August 31st and twelve for October 26th. Please register no later than Wednesday, August 28 for first walk and Thursday, October 24th for second. You can register online here.
