The Heritage Edition of the SJB is on loan from the Cathedral of Saint John in Albuquerque, and the Very Rev. J. Mark Goodman, Dean and Rector of the Cathedral, will give a special presentation of the SJB every day at 11am, with an additional presentation on December 8 at 6pm.
The Saint John’s Bible (SJB) is the first handwritten, illuminated Bible of its scale since the advent of the printing press over 500 years ago. Featuring 1,150 pages with over 160 major illuminations, the mission of the SJB is “to ignite the spiritual imagination of people around the world of all faiths.” The Heritage Edition is a full-size, fine art edition of the original masterpiece. Limited to only 299 sets, each of the seven volumes that make up the SJB is approximately two feet tall by three feet wide when open and weighs between 13 and 20 pounds.
