Learn more about water operations and releases from Navajo Dam and the projected spring peak release to the San Juan River.
Event Information
In 2017, in coordination with federal, state, and local agencies, the spring peak release from Navajo Dam is expected to be 5,000 cubic-feet-per-second. High flow releases from Navajo Dam are necessary to maintain channel capacity in case of flooding, create storage space in Navajo Dam, and comply with Endangered Species Act requirements.
