Light is everything. It is elusive and can transform an ordinary landscape or figure into something magical. No other medium captures the vibrancy and intensity of light and color in the same way as pastel. For this, and many other reasons, Cook loves the power of pastel.
The Henderson Fine Arts Center Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- A closing reception will be held Friday, August 25, from 5 to 7 p.m.
