2022 Freedom Days Schedule

July 1, 2022
10am to 6pm Gem & Mineral Show

Enjoy gemstones, jewelry, mineral specimens, tools, books, family activities, door prizes and more!  Hours are 10am - 6pm on Friday and Saturday, 10am - 5pm on Sunday.  Held at McGee Park.  No entry fee.
Sponsored by the San Juan County Gem and Mineral Society.

11am to 1pm TGIF Music & Lunch
Free musical entertainment and pizza for sale by Three Rivers Pizzeria at Orchard Park in Historic Downtown Farmington. 
Sponsored by the City of  Farmington's Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs, Downtown Farmington: A MainStreet Program and Three Rivers Brewery and Pizzeria. 

5pm to 9pm Downtown Art Walk
Meet and chat with some of the best local artists in our community at the Downtown Art Walk! 
Sponsored by the Northwest NM Arts Council.

July 2, 2022
10am to 6pm Gem & Mineral Show

11am to 3pm Ice Cream Social
Stop by E3 Children's Museum and enjoy great free entertainment and family activities, as well as cool treats and food for sale. 
Sponsored by the Farmington Museum Foundation.  

5pm to 9pm Chevel Shepherd in Concert
Join us outside at the Farmington Civic Center plaza for an evening of food and FREE music by Farmington's own Chevel Shepherd, winner of season 15 of The Voice. Food trucks will be onsite from 5:00 to 9:00pm to purchase food and drinks. Bring a chair or blanket to picnic before the show. The splash pad will be running until 6:30pm, so kids can bring their swimsuits! Chevel Shepherd will take the stage at 7:00pm. 
This free concert is brought to you by the City of Farmington.

7pm to 8:30pm A Star Spangled Sunday featuring Kissmah Brass 2.0
As part of the free Summer Terrace Series, please come to the Farmington Museum & Visitor Center terrace and listen to music by Sousa, Joplin, King and much more, presented by a 10-piece brass band, sure to remind you of good old-fashioned outdoor summer music of bygones past.  Whistle, tap your feet, sing along and ring in July 4th!

9:25pm Fireworks Display
A beautiful fireworks dispaly is set off from Sullivan Hill and simulcast on KWYK 94.9 FM. Sullivan Hill is west of the intersection of College Blvd. and 30th Street.  This display is made possible because of very generous donations from local sponsors. 
Platinum Sponsors are Citizens Bank and Farmington Taco Bells. 
Gold Sponsors are San Juan County/SJC Commissioners, PESCO, Mesa Sand & Gravel, Northern Edge Casino, Cooper Fire Protection Services and the Farmington CVB. 
 

July 4, 2022
9:00pm - Electric Light Parade
The Electric Light Parade is a Farmington tradition on July 4th!  The parade will take place along Main Street in Historic Downtown, from Wall Street to Schwartz.    If you have a question, contact the Farmington Rotary Club at 505 -516-7364 or visit https://rotaryfarmingtonnm.org. The lineup for the parade will take place 7-8:30 pm.  Assembly Area is the large lot on Main St. between Wall & Vine. Entries will enter at Butler & Main St. 
The parade is organized by the Farmington Rotary Club.

Farmington has held a Freedom Days celebration for 36 years.  The events that are held during this celebration are organized and paid for by a collection of community-minded volunteers and sponsors. These volunteers and the businesses and organizations that sponsor the events are vital to the success of Freedom Days and make this Farmington tradition possible.
