The Silver San Juan Division of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) will be holding its Spring meeting at the Farmington Museum & Visitor Center.
Anyone who loves trains is invited. The meeting will start with a social gathering and will end mid-afternoon. Lunch is on your own.
The program will include presentations on programming train engines using a computer interface, building the Chrysolite Metals and Mill model structure, resin casting custom made parts, and historic photos of the Rio Grande Southern and the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroads. Also, there will be an update on the Durango Railroad Historical Society. Other events will include the Favorite Train Contest, and “From the Workbench” where modelers can display and discuss their current projects. Attendees are encouraged to bring a favorite model, photos, or drawings of a planned project to discuss.
