Opening Reception: Re-Discovering Native America: Stories in Motion with The Red Road Project

Alyssa Begay speaks at 5:45pm

Alyssa Begay is a Navajo community leader, school board member, and advocate for Indigenous families and youth. A graduate of the University of New Mexico with a degree in Native American Studies, Alyssa is dedicated to strengthening communities, building relationships between Indigenous communities, and inspiring positive local leadership.

Her remarks will connect the exhibition’s themes of resilience and “walking the red road” with the importance of uplifting families, protecting youth, and strengthening cross-cultural unity.
