Movie Night at the Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village

Bring your chairs or blankets for seating and jackets for a cool evening as you watch a movie at the Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village.  A concession stand will be available for some great movie snacks.  Enter at the back gate across from the splash pad, please. 

Schedule of Movies: 

June 26th: Cars | It's the perfect movie to help celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Route 66! It's the story of young self-obsessed racecar Lightning McQueen who, on the way to the most important race of his life for the Piston Cup, becomes stranded in the forgotten town of Radiator Springs along Route 66. While there, he learns about friendship and community, and begins to reevaluate his priorities.

July 26th: Shaun the Sheep Movie | It's the perfect movie to help celebrate our 2026 museum theme, "Unspun Tales: Sheep in San Juan County." This British classic is the story of Shaun, a mischievous sheep living with his flock at Mossy Bottom Farm. Bored with the routine of life on the farm, Shaun devises a plan for a day off from the farm that goes wild awry.

Movies start at dusk in the Pioneer Village. Please park in the municipal lot and enter through the west gate near the Aztec Splash Pad. Bring camp chairs, blankets, jackets, and bug repellent. Concessions available.
