During his lecture, Chief Hebbe will discuss the importance of transparency and community connection. He will talk about leading and motivating public safety professionals in today’s challenging environment. This will include discussion about recruiting and retaining officers.
Chief Hebbe has been the Chief of Police at the Farmington Police Department since March 2014. He began his law enforcement career at the Anchorage Police Department (APD) in 1990. During his tenure with APD, Hebbe served in various divisions including Patrol, Vice Unit, Drug Enforcement Unit and Internal Affairs. He retired from APD in 2014 at the rank of deputy chief before starting his current position at FPD.
The Citizens Bank Broadening Horizons Lecture Series includes local authors, faculty and guest speakers on a wide range of interesting topics, and is sponsored by Citizens Bank, the San Juan College Foundation and KSJE Radio. The lecture is free and open to the public.
