Look up and join us for International Observe the Moon Night, an annual event that invites people around the world to learn about lunar science and exploration, take part in celestial observations, and celebrate the cultural and personal connections we share with the Moon.

You might be wondering: Why is International Observe the Moon Night in September this year when it was in October last year? Well, it all comes down to the Moon! The event is timed around the first-quarter Moon, when lunar features are especially well positioned for viewing.
