Ghosts and goblins can get a head start on Halloween at the San Juan College Halloween Carnival in Health and Human Performance Center Gym.

4601 College Blvd, Farmington, NM
Tickets are $.25 each, and games range from one to six tickets. The costume contest is $1 or four tickets, and admission to the carnival is free.

Sponsored by San Juan College Student Activities, carnival goers will enjoy a variety of games and activities facilitated by the student clubs. Haunted house will be offered free of charge by the Associated Students and presented by the Student Programming Board.

Participants will want to wear their festive best and enter the Halloween costume contest, which is open to all ages. Registration for the costume contest begins at 12 p.m. and will close 15 minutes prior to the judging of each category. The judging for the costume contest is as follows:

  • 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. for ages 0-2
  • 1:15 – 1:45 p.m. for ages 3-5
  • 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. for ages 6-8
  • 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. for ages 9-12
  • 4:00 - 4:25 p.m. for ages 13-17
  • 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. for Group/Family

Prizes will be offered for the top three costumes in each age category. The carnival will offer fun for the whole family.  The carnival is open to the public and is a family friendly event.
