Event Information
This Memorial Day (May 25) at 10:00 AM at All Veterans Memorial Park, a special ceremony will be held designating Farmington as an official Purple Heart City. This honorary status serves as a formal tribute to the brave military members in our community who were wounded or killed in combat.
The ceremony will feature guest speaker Matthew Sims, a three-time Purple Heart recipient and author of Why is My Heart Purple. This designation is a powerful way for our city to recognize the sacrifices made by our service members through the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
The event begins at 10:00 AM at All Veterans Memorial Park. If you have any questions, please contact Bill Simkins at (505) 793-2423. We hope to see you there as we honor our local heroes!
