A CASA volunteer is a trained community volunteer appointed by the Children's Court Judge to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children. In order to become a CASA volunteer you must be able to pass a background check, be 21 and older, commit to a service of 1 year, and complete 30 training hours with 5 hours of court observation.
