Asdzáá Recalls features brand new artwork by Gloria Emerson, including both paintings and sculpture and will run August 4th-25th, at the Henderson Fine Arts Center Gallery. Gloria Emerson is a visual artist, poet, and education advocate. Her body of work explores the sociological and cultural contradictions between Native American traditions and mainstream America. Emerson also draws inspiration from Navajo landscapes and the significant stories and landmarks that characterize the traditional homelands of her kin.
The Henderson Fine Arts Center is open Monday-Friday from 10:00am-5:00pm. The exhibit will run from August 4th-August 25th. A special opening reception will be held on Friday, August 4th from 4:00pm-6:00pm. The Art Gallery will remain open during the College’s planned roadwork and construction. Visitors can enter the Henderson Fine Arts Center through the Fine Arts Alley door on the west side of the building.
