Catherine is a native New Mexican. After attending the University of New Mexico with a major in art and anthropology, she later completed a bachelor's degree. She is a self-taught studio jeweler who works with many metals, an array of found objects, and a variety of stones. Enameling is a new passion for her. Her jewelry is bold, simple, and modern in design, with Brutalist, Art Deco, Modern, and Industrial influences. Her favorite things are her family, her pets, jewelry design and creation, and her Harley Davidson Iron 883 trike. Catherine's work displayed in the Virtual Spring Art Walk is available for purchase, directly from the artist. Additional work can be found at Artifacts Gallery and the Tales of Tomorrow Comic Shop in Farmington, New Mexico. She currently teaches at San Juan College and University of New Mexico Personal Enrichment Program.
