The Ute Mountain Tribal Park offers a special outdoor primitive experience featuring several hundred archaeological sites, which are part of the Mesa Verde ruins. Day tours, short tours, mountain bike tours, backpacking, and camping are available. Visitors must bring water and food as concessions are not on site. Tours of the Ute Mountain Pottery Plant, at the Ute Mountain Tribal Park, are also available. Here visitors can purchase and view Ute artisans as they create authentic Ute pottery.
