Visit Farmington and the Farmington Museum are in partnership to create a new exhibit that explores the history, cultures, and experiences that have shaped Farmington and San Juan County—from ancient landscapes and early communities to the traditions and stories that continue today.

As part of this effort, we’re inviting community members to share their voices and lived experiences. Through recipes, sayings, and family stories, this exhibit will highlight the many cultures, perspectives, and traditions that make the Farmington area unique. To make the sharing process simple, an online form for each query has been created and linked below.

Three Ways You Can Share Your Family Story

Submissions may be featured in interactive elements within the exhibit, helping visitors connect with the heart of this community through real stories and personal connections.

Whether your family has been here for generations or you’re newer to the area, your story is part of this place—and it deserves to be shared. Submissions will be collected through May 4, 2026
