Shadow Box with Gourd Sculpture Class

Three Rivers Art Center will be offering a Shadow Box with Gourd Sculpture class on Saturday and Sunday, September 10th and 11th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Students will learn how to use multiple mediums to create a one of  a kind, textured shadow box painting. You’ll use a class provided  gourd for a mask or maiden to go inside the shadow box or bring your own memento to use. Students will have a finished piece by the end of class. 

About the Instructor: Lona Warne has been painting and sculpting gourd art for over 30 years and shows her work in galleries in Colorado and New Mexico. She has studied with some of the top artists in the field and photos of her work have been included in publications about gourd art. 

Workshop fee: $135.00 – The instructor will provide all materials.  Students can bring what paints/watercolors/mediums they have on hand or have wanted to learn to use (no oil paints because of drying  time). Students should also bring lunch and snacks. Pre-registration and pre-payment required by September 3rd. Space is limited.  Call 716-7660 or stop in at 123 W. In an emergency, the class fee can be applied to another class ONE TIME only.  Registration and payment for classes must be received at  TRAC by date listed on class flyer. No exceptions!
