Enjoy an evening of music when the San Juan College Symphonic Band performs on Friday, February 24, at 7 p.m., in the Henderson Performance Hall, as part of the San Juan College Silhouette Series.
The band, conducted by Dr. Teun Fetz, will perform a diverse selection of concert band music including marches, romantic ballads, as well as driving up-tempo pieces featuring woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Music will include Quiet Music and Screamers March, a medley of circus march themes by Douglas Wagner, Sleep by Eric Whitacre, Variants on a Nautical Hymn, by Mark Williams. The evening will also include Walking to the Sky, by Robert Buckley, Washington Post March by John Philip Sousa, Where Eagles Soar, by Steven Reineke, The Whispering Tree, by George Farmer, With Each Sunset Comes The Promise of a New Day, by Richard Saucedo, and Woodwind Polka by Andy Clark.
