Local trumpet virtuoso, Delbert Anderson, is currently directing the San Juan College Jazz Big Band. He is a SJC alum and adjunct instructor of Music at San Juan College. The band will play a variety of selections from Miles Davis, Norah Jones, Trombone Shorty, Sonny Rollins, Jeff Steinberg, Rick Hirsch, Denis Diblasio, Bobby Timmons, and Benny Golson. This group features a full rhythm section along with saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and vocals. They will play straight ahead swing jazz, Latin and funk tunes. Small group combo tunes may also be included. The San Juan College Rock Combo will play a variety of contemporary hard rock songs. The group features bass, drums, guitar and vocals.
