Known for his combination of traditional Navajo imagery with an urban graffiti style, Albuquerque-based artist Nathan Nez also utilizes the 19th century tradition of Ledger Drawing to create a portfolio that is at once distinctly Native American with a contemporary flair. A veteran of the United States Army, Nez sees himself as a role model for kids on the Reservation, showing that you can be successful no matter where you come from.
The exhibit will be open from 10:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and during most events in the Henderson Performance Hall. There is no admission fee. The opening reception will be held from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, February 7th.
