Event Information
Students will dye silk scarves using permanent silk dyes and a microwave technique that allows them to go home with their completed silk scarves. It usually takes about 45 minutes – 1 hour to complete a scarf.
All supplies included. Students should wear old clothes that won’t be ruined if dye gets on them – it’s a messy process. Aprons are available to protect clothing & rubber gloves to protect hands. Payment is required before taking the class. Classroom space is limited. No reservation needed. This is a come-and-go class.
About the Instructor: Sue has worked with fiber most of her life. When she discovered the excitement of dyeing and creating her own palettes for her fiber art, another obsession entered her life! She loves to share that passion through her art and in classes where others can ‘catch the bug’! Even if you have never dyed fabric before, you’ll be able to take home a beautiful scarf to use yourself or give as a gift.
