Banned Books Week

Banned Book Week - Read-In & Trivia Night

Join us as we celebrate Banned Book Week with a special Read-In and Trivia Night! This is an evening dedicated to celebrating the freedom to read, honoring the books that have been challenged and banned throughout history, and coming together as a community to stand up for the stories that matter!

Whether you are a longtime advocate for intellectual freedom or simply a reader who believes that every book deserves a chance. Come join us for a fun and meaningful evening that celebrates the power of books and the importance of keeping them in the hands of readers everywhere!

How the Evening Works
Banned Book Read-In | 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Kick off the evening with a 30-minute Silent Read-In! Bring your favorite banned or challenged book (or pick one up right here in store) and settle in with fellow readers to celebrate the freedom to read. Whether it is a classic like To Kill a Mockingbird, or a more recently challenged title like A Court of Thorns and Roses all banned and challenged books are welcome and celebrated here!

Banned Book Trivia | 6:30 PM
After the Read-In wraps up we are diving straight into Banned Book Trivia! How well do you know the history of banned and challenged books? We are putting your knowledge to the test in a fun and exciting trivia competition!

Win a Banned Book Basket!
The winner of the trivia competition will take home a very special prize; a curated Banned Book Basket filled with goodies! This is a prize worth reading for so come ready to show off what you know!

This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome!
