The Farmington Museum will host a special conversation with Native American artist Matthew Bahe, presented in conjunction with the Rediscovering Native American exhibit.

Bahe will take attendees behind the artwork to explore his creative process, artistic journey, inspirations, and personal experiences. He will discuss how his cultural identity, heritage, and contemporary Indigenous experiences shape his creative expression, while sharing the stories and ideas that inspire his work.

Bahe will also address some of the challenges Native artists face today, including preserving cultural traditions, challenging stereotypes, and creating opportunities for Indigenous voices to be seen and heard through art.

The engaging conversation will offer attendees a unique opportunity to connect with Bahe, gain a deeper understanding of Native American perspectives in modern and contemporary art, and discover how art can play a powerful role in celebrating, preserving, and sustaining culture.
