Join us at the Farmington Museum for a special conversation with Native American artist Matthew Bahe, presented in conjunction with the Rediscovering Native American exhibit.

Matthew will take us behind the artwork to share his creative process, artistic journey, inspirations, and personal experiences. Hear how his cultural identity, heritage, and contemporary Indigenous experiences shape his creative expression—and discover the stories and ideas that inspire his work.

Matthew will also explore some of the challenges Native artists face today, including preserving cultural traditions, challenging stereotypes, and creating opportunities for Indigenous voices to be seen and heard through art.

This engaging conversation offers a unique opportunity to connect with the artist, gain a deeper understanding of Native American perspectives in modern and contemporary art, and discover how art can play a powerful role in celebrating, preserving, and sustaining culture.
