Join zoologist and science educator John Boyd for an exciting hands-on exploration of mammals and what makes them unique.
The presentation will compare the three major types of mammals:
- Egg-laying monotremes
- Marsupials
- Placental mammals
Along with a multimedia session that will include:
- Real animal artifacts
- Plaster casts of footprints
- Porcupine quills
- Live rats and mice for safe touching experiences
Participants will discover amazing mammals found in New Mexico and around the world through an interactive lesson that connects zoology, environmental science, and human biology.
About the Presenter:
John Boyd is an AP Environmental Science and Earth and Space, Zoologist for the Farmington Municipal School District.
