Give Kids a Smile

This marks the 22nd year that SJC has participated in this national initiative to provide free dental care to children in the community. From 8:00am to 4:00pm, local dentists, their staff and SJC dental hygiene students will offer complimentary dental care to children ages 5 to 12 residing in San Juan County. The event is open to economically diverse families, ensuring all eligible children have access to vital dental services.

Children attending the event will receive:

• X-rays, cleanings and fluoride treatments from SJC dental hygiene students.
• Oral exams and dental treatments performed by community dentists.
• Additionally, orthodontists, endodontists and oral surgeons have volunteered to provide pro-bono follow-up care for referred cases from the event.

Appointments are required, and a parent or guardian must accompany children. Please note that walk-ins cannot be accommodated. To schedule an appointment for this one day event, please call the San Juan College Dental Hygiene Program at 505-566-3126, Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 4:00pm.
